YachtBox is bring-your-own-instruments: it works with the Garmin and B&G instrument systems most racing boats already carry, capturing data through an inexpensive off-the-shelf NMEA 2000 voyage recorder. Systems like Sailmon and Vakaros require you to buy and fit their own hardware; YachtBox doesn't.
