It runs inshore and offshore racing on Gulf St Vincent and co-hosts the Adelaide to Port Lincoln race. With the Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron, it anchors Adelaide sailing.
The club
The CYCSA sits at North Haven, on the Le Fevre Peninsula near Semaphore and Port Adelaide, with a large marina and clubhouse on a protected harbour that opens directly onto Gulf St Vincent. It caters for a large, active membership across inshore and offshore racing, cruising and a full social calendar. See our guide to sailing in Adelaide and Gulf St Vincent.

History
The club was established on 1 May 1973 at North Haven, its development closely tied to the creation of the North Haven marina and suburb on the Le Fevre Peninsula. From that beginning it has grown into one of South Australia's largest and most active clubs.
Where it sails
Gulf St Vincent — the broad gulf separating Adelaide from the Yorke Peninsula — is the club's racing water and a gateway to destinations such as Port Lincoln and the peninsula's popular sailing towns. The sheltered North Haven harbour gives easy access to the open gulf.
Racing
The club runs inshore keelboat and offshore racing, twilight and club series, and cruising. Its marquee offshore event is the Adelaide to Port Lincoln Yacht Race, which it co-organises, sending the fleet across the gulf and along the coast to Port Lincoln.
Following the club
The CYCSA publishes its racing calendar, race details and results through its official website. For the setting, see sailing in Adelaide and Gulf St Vincent, and the sailing terms glossary for the vocabulary.
